Newsflash

As was shown, the rate of serious injury for inline skaters is less than half the rate for those playing active team sports such as basketball, soccer, and softball.  Moreover, the injury rate for skaters is less than for bicyclists.

Daytime Educational Field Trips for Schools and Home School Groups

Developed by rink owners and a retired physics teacher, this program is an educational field trip for schools to participate in at a local skating rink. Workbooks, hands on mini-labs and demonstrations allow students to understand how everyday actions apply to their lives and have the chance to participate and see that Newton Knew IT!

The program includes a 'How To' guide for the teacher and rink owner including how to assemble the simple props, and exactly what to do for each hands on 'mini lab'. We have broken down the program into grade levels so you can teach at the level of your students. School and Home School educators are searching for ways to make field trips educational in order to qualify for funding and it's the perfect way to fill your rinks during the daytime hours when school is in session! This program conforms to state statutes for educational credit.

You will also receive with your purchase, logos to use on your website, flyers and mailings to your local schools. Priced affordably to help you fill your rink during daytime weekday hours, you'll pay for the licensing fee after 25 students have taken the course. Imagine having hundreds of new skaters at your rink during times that the rink is probably empty!

Rink owners can purchase the program license and workbooks through the American Skating Association. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for more information.
